A VENUS DESCENT
Live Venus Retrograde Immersion Series
DESCENT. ENCOUNTER. CHOICE.
Every 18 months, Venus begins a new synodic cycle with the Sun.
Venus stations retrograde as Evening Star, descends toward invisibility, meets the Sun at the heart of her retrograde (inferior conjunction/cazimi), and eventually remerges again as Morning Star.
From October 3 – November 13, 2026, Venus will make this journey from Scorpio back into Libra, reaching her inferior cazimi on October 23.
This fall, I’m inviting eight people to move through that journey with me.
The Venus Descent is a 4-session, experiential small-group container weaving together astrology, mythology, ritual, guided reflection and collective witnessing.
Rather than simply learning about Venus Retrograde from the outside, we’ll learn the astrology while living alongside it—using the actual movement of Venus as the map for our own exploration.
WHY THIS VENUS RETROGRADE?
This particular cycle carries a powerful Plutonian undercurrent: Venus squares Pluto three times—before, during and after her retrograde.
Together, Venus and Pluto bring us into questions of desire, value, relationship, worth, agency and choice—and what may be operating beneath them.
The ancient myth of Inanna’s descent and the heroine’s journey will offer us additional maps for moving through the archetypal terrain of: Descent → Encounter → Choice | Life → Death → Rebirth
But we aren't descending to hunt for something wrong with us, force transformation or manufacture a breakthrough.
We’re going there to meet what was lost there.
Perhaps you find language for something you've sensed but haven't named. Perhaps you rediscover a desire you set down, recognize an old pattern differently, encounter a part of yourself you've left behind, or hear a quieter no or a truer yes.
There is no predetermined destination. Each person’s journey will be their own.
OUR FOUR SESSIONS

Each session will weave together astrology teaching, mythology and storytelling, ritual practices for working with Venus, guided reflection, journaling and live group conversation.
You do not need an astrology background to participate.
This is not a lecture-heavy astrology class. We’ll learn about Venus Retrograde as we move through it, allowing the astrology, mythology and our lived experiences to speak to one another.
There is no heavy homework between sessions. Instead, you’ll be invited to notice what arises, experiment with the practices that feel supportive, and allow life between our sessions to become part of the experience.
All four live sessions will be recorded, with recordings and program materials stored in a private Google Drive folder for participants to access throughout the program.
You’ll also receive access to a private group within The Coven Collaborative, where our container can continue between live sessions. This will be our space for ongoing conversation, connection, reflections and shared witnessing as we move through the retrograde together.
And while I’ll be guiding and holding our container as an astrologer and coach, I’m entering the journey with you.
I’m not standing outside the process to tell you what your Venus Retrograde is supposed to mean.
We’re going in together.

SESSION 2: THE DESCENT
What is calling me beneath the surface?
Thursday, October 8 · 4–6 PM PT
With Venus newly retrograde as Evening Star, we turn our attention inward.
What is becoming less certain, changing shape, calling us backward or asking for deeper examination? Through myth, ritual, reflection, journaling and conversation, we begin following what calls us beneath the surface—without needing to know yet where it leads.
SESSION 1: THE THRESHOLD
Orientation + Astrology
Monday, October 5 · 4–5:30 PM PT
Before we descend, we meet at the threshold.
We’ll meet one another, establish our container, and explore the astrology and mythology of the journey ahead—including the Venus Retrograde cycle, Evening Star → Morning Star transformation, Venus’s three squares to Pluto, and ritual practices for intentionally working with Venus.
SESSION 3: THE ENCOUNTER
What is waiting for me at the heart of the descent?
Thursday, October 22 · 4–6 PM PT
We meet on the eve of Venus’s October 23 cazimi, the underworld heart of her retrograde and transition from Evening Star toward Morning Star.
Here, the invitation is encounter rather than resolution: making space to meet what has emerged, including what may have previously been buried, protected, feared, desired or difficult to see.
SESSION 4: THE CHOICE
What do I choose now that I have seen what I have seen?
Thursday, November 12 · 4–6 PM PT
We meet on the eve of Venus stationing direct.
Rather than demanding a tidy resolution or completed transformation, we turn toward agency. What has become clearer? What do I want to carry forward? What am I no longer willing to choose unconsciously?
Pluto can reveal what has been unconsciously choosing for us. Venus asks: Now that I can see more clearly, what do I choose? We’ll close our journey through reflection, ritual and collective witnessing.
